Giambi will be to the Yankess like Lowell was to the Marlins in 03.
down by a run or two and u pitch hit and bring in Giambi... I dont care whos on the mound, they still wont pitch to him like hes an avg joe hitter. IMO, he will be the best bench player heading into the playoffs (If he makes a comeback).

Jason Giambi (benign tumor, groin pull, upper respiratory infection) has completed his rehab program in Tampa and joined the Yankees in New York.

It's quite sad really. Watching the Yankees play like they are the Red Sox of 1978, they are now so desperate they need to bring back Giambi, who is probably down to 163 lbs. Anybody who thinks Giambi is going to contribute for the rest of this year should simply look at his numbers from before the mystery parasite took over and know that there are probably 20 better bets, including Hatteberg in Oaktown, Morneau in Minnesota, and even Carlos Pena in Detriot who will post better numbers the rest of the way. Like that writer in the NY Post said, "Watching this year's AL East race is like watching Rosie O'Donnell trying to hold off Michael Phelps in the 200 meter freestyle."
ROTFLMAO!!!!!

I do and they're not. I was just saying that Giambi and a 1978-like collapse are 2 different things.
