The Tigers have purchased the contract of Nook Logan from Triple-A Toledo to replace the injured Alex Sanchez on the roster. Logan was hitting .263 with two home runs, 27 RBI and 38 stolen bases in 105 games for the Mud Hens.

He has some speed (38 bags) but I'm not impressed with his batting avg. If he does get on he could steal a few but the key point there is : If he gets on :-o

Yep you can't steal bases unless you got on base first

Not that impressed with Nook from the last time he came up. He probably won't start everyday either, they could play Inge in Center or possibly Thames.

I've been watching him tonight and he's looked pretty good so far. He beat out an infield single and showed impressive speed. 2nd at bat hit a double down the left field line then stole 3rd with a pretty bad jump. He could be a cheap source of steals in deep leagues.

Who would name there child Nook?

It seems like so many pro athletes have weird names.

I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't want a guy with thoe kind of stats simply to gain steals.

A lot of the funny names in sports are nicknames. Mookie Blaylock for example.

Everytime he steals 2nd you have to mention Logans Run. ( A cookie to whoever gets it.)
