After watching video of his swing from past years, Mike Piazza believes he has mechanical problems which may have stemmed from wrist and knee injuries.
''I told [manager Art Howe]: 'I'll do whatever you want me to do,' but it's obvious I need some time to heal and also get myself right with the bat,'' Piazza said. Howe gave Piazza the last two games off, hoping that, with today's off day, three days would help him rest and right himself.

yea they say hes opening up too early or... anyways, its pretty wierd how he hits better as a catcher rather than a 1B.

Yeah, that was before his huge slump though. Now he sucks wherever he plays. Hopefully he can get it straightened out though
