rotoworld:
J.J. Putz, who left Thursday's game with back tightness, pitched a perfect ninth tonight for his first career save.
Even though he entered the game with a 5.48 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP, Putz had to be considered one of the top candidates for saves during Eddie Guardado's absence. He has some value in AL-only leagues.
