Victor Martinez may miss the first two games of this weekend's series against the White Sox due to a mildy strained right hamstring muscle.
The injury is not serious enough to warrant a DL stint, but Martinez will likely sit out this evening's and possibly tomorrow's games to let the strain heal more fully. Tim Laker will continue to start in his place. As emergency catcher Lou Merloni is nursing a sore right elbow, the Tribe may be forced to recall Sandy Martinez from Triple-A Buffalo to backup Laker.
