i don't know what type of league you're in but i'll try to make a pick here. basically, the difference is odalis and kerry in #1 and zito and schmidt in rotation #2. my feelings are:
odalis:at his highest value right now but still solid
wood: should be solid for the rest of the year
zito:certified star
schmidt:question mark--it really depends on if he is traded before the deadline, and who he is traded to
i guess i would have to say i would still prefer #1, although zito is a horse. schmidt's uncertainty causes me not to like #2 as much. good luck.

Yea,if you put Zito in #1 you would have a killer rotation. But I agree,Wood and Odalis make #1 a more solid rotation.

I disagree with those guys. I think rotation#2 is a great rotation. Pedro is back to form, Zito is a gem, Wade Miller's returning to great form, I don't think Schmidt is going anywhere and he's putting out some great performances with good innings and good k's, I don't like Woody Williams but he's alright. I don't think Russ O is very good but oh well.
I also don't thinz Perez will keep anything going in the second half because I don't think the Dodger's are going to keep him up, and I've never been impressed with Kerry.
So Perez, Wood -vs- Zito, Schmidt......I'd take #2

Never been impressed by Kerry Wood? He's a hardthrowing young hurler with a great breaking ball.I do agree with Perez though,Dodgers will overwork him in his first season as a great starter and he will slow down.

Thanks for your input. The second one is my current rotation.
Any thoughts about me adding Pettite from the waiver wire to the mix and maybe dropping Ortiz or JC Romero.

I definately would add Pettite for Romero.Romero is sporting a really low ERA but he doesn't get wins or saves so he really doesn't help in a Roto league. So yea,I would definately pick up Pettite and drop Romero.

I think Kerry Wood has alot of potential but had yet to perform up to that potential compared to how he started. I've always had high hopes for him but has never come through as I had hoped. I expected him to be one of the top 10 pitchers in the game and he's not even close. Trade for Oswalt he's the man Wood should be.
