The official MVP 2004 AND Madden league/tourney thread!!!!

I have MVP for XBOX so looks like I'm disqualified.

I have XBOX Live but I haven't been able to work it because I don't have the wireless adapter. My birthday is Saturday so hopefully I'll get it and can hook it up. Maybe we can start an XBOX MVP tourney?

Sorry, I forgot MVP isn't online eligible for XBOX. Madden will be though and I'm buying it later today so we should start that up!!

I've played MVP online a couple of times, but then my disc got scratched when my PS2 fell on the floor while I was playing...so now I can't play anymore.

I was a little disappointed playing online anyways, because even though I had a great connection (cable), it still lagged a little and made it hard to time the pitches and swings correctly. A little bit of lag makes a huge difference.

Hey Baseballer02,

Do you have an idea on when you want to start this up? I'm really interested in this but I'm not getting my network adapter (or my Road Runner connection) for another couple of weeks or so.

I'm gonna try and wait 'til at least 8 people sign up so we can do a double elimination tourney. Since it seems XBox is the system of choice here, it might be couple weeks before we reach that number.

Some new news folks:

Now even XBox players have a chance for this. Rather than just a tourney, I've considered making an actual league for MVP, Madden 2004(and 05), and any other games in which enough interest is shown. If we can get a league/tourney or two together, Arlo will give us the video game forum. Basically, we're at MVP and Madden at the moment as far as I can think of, I don't know all the other popular online games. We'd have a PS2 division, and a XBox division, and the leagues will have rankings and hopefully maybe statistics of all the players with the games they play. This would probably require an Excel spreadsheet, so anyone who could help me out with that please let me know. Anyone that is interested in joining either the Madden league or MVP 2004 league please sign up here. Basically what I'll need is your online name, email address, which games you want to sign up for, and if you have an instant messenger service. If you don't feel like sharing all the info with the entire cafe, just hit me with a pm.

Any other games in which you'd like to see a league formed, let me know. Anyone feel free to voice your opinion on anything. I'm very excited that these leagues and tourneys may happen, so let's make it happen!!

i would play but i have a 56k and barely get 1 bar connection because the other forms of internat i cannot get because i live in the middle of nowhere and im not going to shell out 100 bucks for internat by satelite either.
