Hybrid how long do you think it will take the D Rays to compete with Boston and NY? The talent is there, and if it pans out I think they have a legitimate chance in '06.

Do you guys see any of these players being worth $6 in an auction next year? Will Atkins have a full-time job?

Good question, hopefully someone with a bit more expertise than I have with prospects can answer. I do know that Castilla is a FA after this season, though.
Anyone know anything about Gabe Gross?

I think Colorado wants to resign Castilla (that's why they didn't move him at the trade deadline, same thing for Burnitz).
Gabe Gross has the potential to be a solid Major League player but I doubt he will be a star (some will disagree). If he plays well he may be able to take over a full-time job next year. My guess is that he should have some value in A.L. or very deep mixed leagues next year.

I think it involves either students and jailtime, or the Olsen twins............ not really sure how to go about it though

I think the only potential All-Star down the road of the bunch is Phillips. He's made tremendous strides in consistently putting the ball in play. Just a matter of him putting on more lbs.
I don't know when/if SD will ever give Nady a shot. And even then, SD isn't a great hitters' environment and you probably just have another 20 HR OF there.
Burke will have a hitters' park & would probably be my #2 choice because of position (2B).
I don't think Atkins' future is in Colorado -- which just makes him another average 3B.

How about Jason DuBois, the Cubs OF? He's hitting .300 (or so) with 24 HR at AAA. Also won the AFL MVP last fall. He's 25, but appears ready.
