Suspensions - are they fair?

I think that for every 5 games a player gets suspended, a picther should miss one start. So basically, add 4 games to pitchers' suspensions. Instead of 5 games, make it 9. Then they miss a turn in the rotation. IMO missing 1 game for pitchers is just as bad as players missing 5 games. Either way, it's about 3% of the season. I don't think there should be appeals either.
