he missed one game last week for a scheduled day off. now he has missed two games in a row. any idea what's going on. is his collarbone bothering him or are the Braves just trying to get Nick Green some playing time? I can't afford to have a second basemen on the bench..if Giles isn't going to play i need to add someone.

Pulled groin, he's hoping to avoid the DL(Rotoworld). Thank God for
Loretta.

Braves announcers (Houston/Atlanta) just mentioned Giles is "expected" back for tomorrow night's game. For what it's worth . . . that, plus the various rotoworld/wire reports have me holding on for another day or two, before I make a move to replace him. I suspect he will be back in 1-3 days or on the DL within that time. (Here's hoping it's the former).

From Rotowire
Aug 5
Marcus Giles (2B) ATL
Giles (groin) hopes to be back by Friday, the team's official site reports. Giles was pleased that the team ruled out a DL stint. Expect him back Friday

I would never drop Giles, love him when he' s healthy. I'll say this,
I got Loretta late in the draft, and he may be the most unerated
player in FBB. If Marcus could have stayed healthy, I would have
traded him in a NY minute.

Giles is truly a gifted ballplayer, tis a shame injuries have hurt his season. Hopefully he could get over this bump in the road and have a great stretch to finish out the year.

Dammit, not again. It's a good thing I just acquired Loretta.
