Manny's month long slump!

Anyone noticed Manny's month long slump? On July 15, he went 4/5 with 2 HRs and 5 RBI. At the end of that day he was hitting .345/.438/.682. He is now at .321/.411/.621. (8/5/04)

Since July 10 he is hitting:

.217
3 doubles
2 HRs
8 RBIs

with only ONE multi-hit game!

Perhaps he is hiding an injury?

Yeah Manny and Blalock are killing me. On 7/4 I was winning the HR category by 11. Now I'm in 2nd place, 7 behind. I'm just lucky that Edmonds has been hot.

well, in july.. i think his hamstring was kinda sore. he even sat out a few games cos of that. but hes supposed to be phully phine right now. anyways, he was bound to cool off... i think he'll pick it back up lol.

Cry me a river. The guy's "slump" has brought him down to .311 and he's one HR behind the AL leader.

As for his "being hurt" I saw his roly-poly self crashing into the left field wall to make a play last night, which--if I'm not mistaken--got him on web gems (probably for the last and maybe for the first time)....And he came up smiling. It looks to me like slump or not he's having more fun playing than he's had in awhile and I think he'll finish the year at around .330 with 40+ jacks
