AJ Burnett's next start?

Postby Voelk » Wed Aug 04, 2004 5:52 pm

Yahoo has it listed as tomorrow vs. Ari.
Rototimes has it listed as Fri. vs. Atl

I'm not starting him against Atlanta... anyone know for sure what day he is getting the nod?

I was assuming it was tomorrow against Arizona. And I agree, I wouldn't start him the next day versus Atlanta. He's much better at home than on the road, but against Arizona he's a must start in my opinion. Atlanta's a different story though!!!

If Burnett pitches on Thursday it's against Cormier @ Ari

If Burnett pitches on Friday it's against Ben Sheets vs Mil at home
(not vs Atl)

Both rototimes and yahoo lists him as scheduled to start on Friday.

I'll put him in as a starter on Thursday hoping he does start. I'm not sure if I want to take my chances by having Burnett face Sheets.

His start is against sheets on Fri. He was bumped back a day to accomodate someone coming off the DL or something.

The Brewers don't have the most impressive lineup. I'm starting both and I hope it will be a low scoring affair.

Pavano pitches Thursday on 3 days rest. A.J. pitches Friday.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
