Lieber's fall

Did anyone see Lieber fall as he was pitching last night? I'v never seen that before, but it was hilarious. Has that ever happened before?

Haha, I listened to the game a little but didn't catch it. What happened? Was it after a pitch, I assume?

I was at the game last night, and it was really odd. I think he just flat-out tripped or slipped on the mound- he was going through a normal pitching motion.

My question is- why isn't that a balk?

Exactly what I was thinking too. Basically he was going to pitch the ball but tripped and fell with the ball in his hand. Werid.

If he didn't release the ball then it is a balk. Maybe no one was on base? If that is the case then nothing is called.
