actually he should only be charged with 2 runs. I don't know why, but I'll take it. I am glad I chose him over Lackey for this spot start.

just wonder how the boss'll feel if Contreras turns it around and Loiza continues on his path of utter mediocrity.
anyways, spot start him for all hes worth until Friday the 13th.

Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

guys, it was the Royals...of course he did well. Not a good barometer for the rest of the season.
I don't buy the "tipping pitches" argument either. Was he tipping pitches to some team but not others?? I think he just lacks the discipline to be a pitcher. Sure, he has electric stuff, but has no idea how to use it.

isnt it gonna be that way for the most part tho.... ya know.. Royals, Det, Cle, Min (mostly impatient teams)... vs. Red Sox, D-Rays, Blue Jays, Orioles (more patient hitting teams). he has more trouble pitching to teams that are willing to take walks. thats pretty much my only big reason for thinking he'll be better.
