I actually emailed yahoo about the problem and got this in response.
"Hello,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.
BJ Upton has SS eligibility now.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

Cliff"
You can all thank me for this

I was just thinking--since Upton can motor, and the D-Rays are one of the teams that run at every opportunity, will he be a good source of steals the rest of the way?
If he can produce anything at all in that department, it would be nice to get Furcal or Hairston (at MI) out of there for him.

Is this the official BJ Upton thread now?
And I agree with Amazinz' take on him. Sure he has a lot of talent and all but it isnt in your best interest to depend on a rook doing well when first being called up.

i got to see his first start in the field! :D not overly-impressive. he failed to make what would have been an incredible catch on a pop up down the third base line, but other than that, didn't really see anything from him. jeff blum (tampa's 3b) made some really nice plays, though. but back to upton: assuming he can get on base, 10 sbs the rest of the way wouldn't really stun me. other than that, he'll probably keep hitting towards the bottom of the lineup, so don't expect much else.
i'm just hoping he sets the table for carl crawford. :D

His defense stinks. He'll make a ton of errors. Personally, I have doubts as to whether he'll be a SS in the long run, but no matter for now. He's up for offense.
