Boone to ChC for Cruz?

Heard Marty B. on the radio (I can't believe how much it costs on mlb.com!!!) that the rumor is we're shipping Aaron Boone to the Cubs for Juan Cruz. I personally think it would be a good trade, but who plays 2B now? Maybe Juan "Pokey Reese" Castro

I'm not saying the Cubs want him, I'm just saying I heard that rumor on the radio.

However, if I were the Cubs, I would rather have Boone than Bellhorn.

The cubs would want to ship bellhorn to us and use aaron as their everyday 3b. the cubs don't view him as an everyday 3b, but more as a utility IF. That's why they would want to acquire Boone.

I really don't think they will trade Boone. First of all Bob won't let it happen, and second he's one of our best players right now.

I can't see Boone being traded with the current infield situation.

Hal McCoy says all teams are denying a published rumor also involving Juan Cruz, that would have Cruz coming to the Reds, Williamson going to the Red Sox, and Hillenbrand going to the Cubs. Probably won't happen, but it's intriguing.

Are the Reds also denying that rumor? So far, I had only heard the Cubs and the Sox saying it wasn't happening...

But yes .. They will need to trade Aaron before they fire Bob .. and it should happen as soon as they fal out of it .. I can understand the injuries and the horrible pitching the organization has giving to Bob .. but the error's are clearly the management's fault..

What they should do is ship Casey and Boone for pitching and move Dunn to first .. they already have like .... 6 OF on the 25 man roster ..

Technically, Wily Mo Pena is an infielder on the 25-man roster, although I get your point.
