Hi! In a weekly 5x5 with o bench. Trade deadline has passed.
I'm in 1st with an even split of 38 points as well as a 10 point lead.

Need to know who I should drop?

Just grabbed Beltran off waivers and dropped Erstad (although I love him as a player) because I have been reading from you that he traditionally has a bad 2nd half. Giles has been unbelievable (got him as a free agent). Grabbed D.Roberts bc I thought I needed another SB guy with a decent avg. He's been running like crazy but do you think he'll continue.

1st in HR, R and RBI.
6th in AVG and SB (I'm 13 behind the 2nd guy in SB)

C- Pudge, AJ
IF- J.Giambi (NYY), L.Castillo, Tejada, Hinske
OF- L.Walker, Berkman, A.Jones, Beltran, B.Giles, D.Roberts
U- Delgado, Spivey

I feel like dumping Delgado or Jones (couldn't trade them) bc of their weak avg but they have helped me in the categories that I'm leading in. Shall I just put back Roberts where I found him? Am I wrong in thinking that I need more speed.

Thanks a lot. ;-D

Well, speed, I went only for average this season, ERA as well as batting average, the rest of the stats like wins or RBIs just come along.

Hitting a homer is very random, guys like Shawn Green have unbelievable hot streaks but had to be considered to be having bad seasons before that!

Going with average won't hurt that much!

I don't think you need more speed. You said you were in first place with a sizeable ten point lead. Why make drastic changes that could send your team into a tailspin? I'd stick with your current lineup and look to replace Roberts with a better all-around player. And stay with Delgado and Jones.
