No offence but I am bit hesitant to believe in a Nomar supporter and Cubs fan...

Who's a Nomar supporter? Not me.
Anyways, this is all I have, from the Boston Dirt Dogs
Multiple sources have confirmed to Boston Dirt Dogs Bob Lobel's breaking news report that former Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra went to see Red Sox trainers Jim Rowe and Chris Correnti four days ago and informed them that his tendonitis "was bothering him" and he would not be able to play in the crucial series in Minnesota. Garciaparra then added "I'll probably have to go on the DL in August to be ready for the end of the year."
After a full examination of Garciaparra's heel, the trainers concluded that Nomar was indeed fit to play, telling the disgruntled shortstop that the heel "looks fine to us."
Nomar then sat out Friday's game in Minnesota. On Saturday, when the trade opportunity with the Chicago Cubs heated back up, Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino approached Nomar Garciaparra and informed him that there was a strong possibility that he would be moved to the Cubs by the 4:00pm deadline in the spirit of full disclosure. Lucchino then asked Garciaparra how his Achilles' injury was doing. Nomar replied "It's fine now."

He went 8 out of 8 ops in fielding. I'm leaning towards the get traded flareups at the moment.

I have Nomar on my team too and have had the same worries...
I'm a Red Sox fan and am worried about the ankle as well.
Still concerned.
Although today on a double play one of the Phillies came into second hard and rolled right over Nomar's right ankle. It looked bad and I right when it happened I thought that was it for him.
But he ran off the field and nothing happened.
I think he will be OK and wanted to be traded. Like you said, ever since the Yankee game when he sat there when everyone else was standing and cheering I knew he wanted out.
Hate to see him in that Cubs jersey!! And wish we got Clement as well.
GO REDSOX!! JETS!!!!

Ya, Hendry and Nomar really strongarmed you. Theo was so desperate to trade him he took peanuts for him and then dealt those guys for decent but not superstar players. I think the gained D helps the BoSox though.

I wouldn't call it peanuts, but yeah, it wasn't a great deal. Seems Nomar had us over a barrell.
And thanks for using less-graphic ways to express your happiness with the trade.
I'm back. Sorta.
Do not boo Johnny.

As a non-Nomar owner but sox fan, It's so nice to see subject lines like this and no longer have to worry about it
