Someone mentioned that Nomar didn't appear to like right today. Are these injuries for real, and will they continue to bother him? Some said they were just an excuse to leave Boston but there are still rumors of him getting some rest. Any thoughts about this? I was thinking with all of the hype surrounding him I should sell high. What I am getting at is are these injury concerns valid enough to trade away Nomar?

A Red Sox source said Nomar's statement concerned management enough to make trading Garciaparra a more pressing matter, and that the Cubs were aware of this development during trade talks. This is probably why Chicago didn't have to give up Matt Clement to get Garciaparra. Let's hope the Cubs are able to keep him healthy. It's a huge day on the North Side as Garciaparra's first start for the Cubs comes in the same game where Greg Maddux goes for win No. 300.
I'm considering dealing him to get someone who I know is going to play every day so I don't have to worry about missing games at short.

I believe he's fine. The whole "flare-up" of the Achilles was just a ploy to get him traded.
That is what I am trying to figure out, were his "flare-ups" real or not. I didn't see the Cubs game, I just heard that Nomar looked a little awkard, so I don't know how he was playing exactly. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

He always looks awkward. Whether he's batting, fielding or throwing, he's herkey-jerkey. No injury, least I think anyways.
