heh.
I bet you never thought youd see a thread about him again.
Because I play in a FAAB league where you are allowed to pick up otherwise unclaimed free agents for FREE if they are injury replacements.
I currently have Shingo Takatsu as my replacement for Borowski.
League rules dictate that when Borowski returns, I will have two transaction periods to decide to either 1> waive Takatsu or 2> Pay $5 from my FAAB to keep Takatsu and waive someone else from my team.
Obviously, the no-brainer is to KEEP Takatsu and waive Borowski. My problem: an early huge expenditure on the ineligble for our draft Milton Bradley (not on major league roster for our draft day) combined with the usual high risk/high reward FA gambles has left me with only $5 left.
IF Borowoski doesnt return until the last 2 weeks of the season, I will never have to pay for Shingo and can spend my money elsewhere. I WANT to spend my money elsewhere.
I have heard very little of Borowski since his injury, so I am asking for assitance in finding information about his return.
Is he going to return at all? If so, what projections have you seen?

Sorry, I haven't heard anything on the broadcasts, the Score, anything. Its like Borowski fell through a hole into another dimension. If he comes back, which is an if, he will probably be a bad middle reliever. He certainly won't close again.

I'm aware that he wont be a closer.
Suprisingly enough, I dont care.
I just need to know if I need to keep $5 to pay for Shingo.
Because if I spend the $5, and Borowski comes back...I have to CUT shingo. and that would be bad.

lets say I have some info here, he won't pitch again this year, except in the playoffs and only if 100% healthy, he is considering rotater cuff surgery, he will be back next year as a set up man somewhere...bottom line
