Well, looks like Herges didn't finish the job again? Any ideas what SF will do since they didn't acquire anyone trade wise?

I wouldn’t grab any Giants relievers. You can do better.
As far as not getting a closer, I don’t think it would have mattered much. There were simply too many holes to fill. Not only did they need a closer, they also needed another arm for the pen, another bat, and a number 2 starter. Too many holes to fill. Nen’s, Perez’s, and Ledee’s salaries all come off the books this season, leaving them about $14 million to spend. They will probably address those needs with that money.

What about Christiansen? He has been doing well lately and can hold the fort until the Giants work a deal for a closer through waivers. I'd much rather give the ball to him at this point rather than Herges.
Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

Can't argue with his recent form...10 straight scoreless appearances. But he's really not very good.
