Are there any more people who are loyal to Adam Eaton?
I still have faith in the guy and it seems to me he no longer has any owners with strong belief in him pitching well. Anyone think he will pitch better and more consistently?

just when i am about to re-affirm my faith for him, he goes and does something like his game against the dodgers. it is so frustrating being his owner. i am trying to work trades right now so i dont need him, possibly using him as a throw in. i think if you are in a keeper league stay strong and resist the urge to drop him. i think he will have a monster year next year, both him and peavy. otherwise, i personally am starting to think of him as the nl contreras with not as many ks, which makes me sad bc i have both of them on my team

I am not in a keeper league, and I really am not considering dropping him. For some reason he seems so much more talented than Contreras to me.

i definitely think he has talent. but just like contreras he seems to have mental lapses from time to time, although these are probably just from being young. i just expected so much more from him. i guess though if otsuka did not have some weird fetish for blowing eaton's wins though it might be easier to take an off game once in awhile

ive had faith in Eaton even after he managed to bring his era up to 6 in the starting of the year. just search my name and Eaton and you'll come up with a lot of posts with me supporting Eaton and some of the reasons. ive repeated 'em so many times im kinda tired now.
i think im one of the biggest Eaton supporters here.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Zepfan and toungue I am glad to find some fellow Eaton supporters amongst the many doubtful and unloyal people who dropped him.

Eaton is just one on a long list of guys not living up to their potential. He has an ERA of 4.90 right now. His career ERA is 4.39. In other words, he's doing worse now than he was when he was a year or two younger... an excuse a lot of Eaton supporters gave for his high ERA in the past. AND... to top it all off, this year they are playing in a very favorable pitchers park. He has a 5.12 ERA at home and his BAA at home is 272. That's pretty bad no matter how you look at it. As far as guys saying they were a big supporter of him at the beginning of the season and still are now... I'd get off that band wagon before it gets to that cliff coming up. (otherwise know as the fantasy baseball playoffs).
As far as choosing between Contreras and Eaton for the rest of the year? Neither is great, but I'd have to say Contreras. Have you seen the White Sox September schedule?
