I believe from the clues that Boone is correct, but goody hasn't verified this yet.

The answer is Roberto Alomar. He is the career leader for 2b in fielding pct (.988).

Baseball reference has Grich's fielding percentage at 2B at .984 (and overall at .983). Boone's is listed at .986 through the 2002 season (at 2B and overall)......
