Dye traded?

Jermaine Dye, who has been mentioned in trade rumors, is out of the lineup tonight against a left-hander.
A trade shouldn't be automatically assumed. Dye might have hurt his elbow while diving for a ball in the ninth inning of last night's game.



We'll see. He's crushed lefties this season, so it's either an injury or a trade. Dye just had a day off pretty recently. He's got a huge contract, so the A's probably wouldn't mind getting rid of him. I don't know what they'd want to acquire, though.

Any potential teams? I'd like to see him go to....say....Colorado.

I wouldn't mind that either. I don't know, I haven't heard any rumors about him at all. Who has? I've heard a bunch of Cliff Floyd rumors, but that looks done since the Mets acquired Benson using other means.

If he does go, that means less protection for Chavez who I also own.

There is some talk over on SoSH that the Redsox have interest in Dye. We need a new RF with Trot likely out or restricted to DH duties the rest of the year.
