Do you think Mota is worth picking up or is Benitez ready to pitch again? Does anyone know?

Only if Benitez continues to have arm problems.

Yeah, short-term...I would think that he would get the save opportunities for 4-5 games until Benitez comes back.

Has anyone in FL heard anything solid. Is Mota the temp reliever or will Manzanillo get the call?

Don't know yet. This is going to be very interesting to follow.
aj, we all know that ultimately Mota was brought to FLO to set up Benitez, but the question is whether Mota will get the saves while Benitez is on the shelf. Things like 'inflammation of the elbow' have a way of sticking around sometimes.

It is fairly clear the Moto will set up after Benitez returns, but in the meantime Ol Guilermo will have to battle it out with Manzanillo. My bet is that the both of them will be on a very short leash for the time being.

i have Mota in a couple of non-hold keepers, and i'm pretty happy that he got out of Gagne's shadow.. but he'll set up this year whenever Benitez is healthy.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
