If Nomar gets traded to the Cubs, would you rather have
Nomar or M. Young?

I dont think Nomar will be traded. Even if he is or not I still think he has a major hot streak ahead of him and will have better numbers (he has some pretty good numbers the last month already) than Mike Young from this point on. But the away from fenway splits with Nomar are pretty disturbing.

Remember Micheal Young also has 2B eligibility, which has been really shallow this year. So in conclusion, Nomar. But Micheal Young wont be awful either.

Nomar won't get traded. Nomar seems like he hates Boston and isn't playing like the Nomar of old, so I'll go with the kid for the rest of this year.

Not playing like the Nomar of old? The past month
17 R, 4 HR, 12 RBIs, 1 SB and .376 average? I would call that pretty freaking good.

unless hes dealt to the Dodgers or Padres or sumthin.... id take Nomar.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

I actually traded Nomar for Young for many of the reasons already stated. Young's eligibility at 2B is invaluable. He'll hit for the same average if not higher. He's also hitting in front of some very good hitters, whereas Nomar is hitting behind two guys that clear the bases an awful lot.
Nomar is not a determined player in a contract year. He's a sullen brat who's pissed he was nearly traded. Unhappy players will never perform up to their ability. Ask Derek Lowe.
