Postby Spiegs1106 » Wed Jul 28, 2004 3:28 pm

is there any way for me to take the songs off my ipod right now and put them into the library in another computer. Iv been using my laptop for downloading music onto my ipod and just bought a Fire Wire PCI card for my desktop so i could use that. I wanted to try "IPOD RIP" but its only for MAC. Is there any way to do it with windows, thanx

I have not worked with an IPod in quite some time, but I know there are a few ways to do this. This would be the easiest:

When you plug the IPod into your computer, it will create a scratch drive named G or something like that (maybe H). You can get to it by going to "My Computer" and clicking on the IPod drive (it will say something like removable disk I think, and then have the name). You can then just copy and paste the songs over to your computer hard drive.

I think this is what your question was asking. I know there are ways to do a direct transfer from the IPod to a computer, but that is more complicated. Let me know if this is what you were talking about.

Ok, I'm not a computer guy but my wife says go to http://www.MajorGeeks.com and search for "PC IPOD Software".

Like I said, no idea here, but hope that helps. :-)

LOL then don't post. Are you just trying to build up your post total by posting in threads that you know absolutely nothing about? Geez this is like the 3rd time I've seen this tonight.
