A report in some paper my friend showed me says the Cubs might trade Angel Guzman and Flex Pie for him. All i got to say is if this is true.
Well since now benitez haves an injury i doubt this possbbile deal will get done.

That would actually be a good trade for both teams. The Cubs are still fighting for the Wildcard, and desperately need a closer. Benitez has been absolutely solid this year, and wasn't really THAT bad even when he supposedly "sucked." I can see this deal happening.

It will be August in a few days.
Will the real Armando Blownitez please stand up ....
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I don't like this deal for the Cubs, they could get Urbina and Cabrera for Guzman Pie and another couple mid tier prospects. Urbina is a more proven playoff closer anyway.

I don't know. That is 2 very good prospects to ask for Benitez. I think the Cubs would regret this.

Maybe you're right...the Cubs-hater in me wouldn't mind seeing it happen though. I guess I'm too biased to judge this one. I would at least consider it if I were Chicago though, Hawkins is not the answer.
