Floyd returned to Montreal on Monday, the place where his career began, and said that he planned to retire in two years, after the 2006 season, when his four-year, $26 million contract will expire. Floyd will be only 33, having played in fewer major league games than most of his peers, but he has already sustained enough injuries to last a career.
"My body is beat up," said Floyd, who has had operations on his left knee, his right wrist and his right foot, and has missed a month of this season with a strained quadriceps. "I want to go out there. I want to play because I really love the game. But I only know what I feel. At this point, two years can't come fast enough."

thats a perfect Mets signing ....
33 years old, injured and doesn't want to play anymore ... Sounds like a Met to me ...
What is up with you? Were you beaten by a Mets fan as a child?
ahh what is baseball if you can't poke fun at the Mets constantly signing old broken down players.
But in terms of Roto ..
I acually own a few Mets on a number of squads.
Piazza on almost every team
Wright on a few
Tommy on a few
and even I even own Floyd and Phillips in one capacity or another, which probably explains why I am not doing to hot this year.
I mean its the Mets ...
