Sheets shut down the Cards to 1 run in 8 innings tonight. And I had left him sitting on the bench.
My reasoning was Brewers pitcher + Cards offense = disaster
Now I am regretting not starting him.

I wouldn't have started him either, so don't feel bad!

I think that if he can shut down the Cards in this manner, it's probably safe to start him against most teams. Even though Pujols wasn't playing, the Cards offense is still probably one of the top three in the NL.

I left him on my bench today also. The Cards offense has been red hot recently, so in my mind it was the right decision. No way did I think he'd shut them down like that. I'm still gonna play him based on matchups until he puts together a few good starts in a row. But this is very encouraging, especially since I drafted him late in my keeper league. I've got the makings of a very good, young staff if they can all put it together finally...Wood, Odalis, Armas, Sheets.

I managed to snatch him for free off the waiver wire because he was never drafted.

Well, I had him in and am very happy. I pretty much start em every time, but I'm a fantasy rookie and am just really enjoying watching all of my boys play right now, its more fun that way at this point for me. Tonight it paid off, tomorrow, who knows?

ya, I drafted Sheets and coudn't bring myself to drop him, even wiht the slow start, but it paid off for me last night. I started him and he was very impressive against the Cards. He has extended his stay in my starting lineup wiht that outing.
