So much for watching him up in Binghamton :~(

Yea that sucks. :-[

Maybe I am just a blind homer but I have to believe J.D. and Peterson knew something. Maybe with a whole lot of luck Benson will become like Schmidt and Zambrano will pitch like Carlos. O:-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Did JD, Howe, or Peterson say that there was something wrong with Kazmir? This is the first time I'm hearing something like this.

I like the Benson deal. Didn't have to deal David Wright to get him. It's sad to see Wiggy go, I love the way he played, but it wasn't gonna last forever with him.

Zambrano deal, still very iffy. I just don't like the idea of giving up such a big LEFTY prospect for a guy who needs help with walking the whole damn ballpark. I feel they could have done better with a guy like Kazmir. Nonetheless, Zambrano can develop into something good. Dude has a winning career record with Tampa Bay. That has to mean something, also has some good stuff.

We shall wait and see. JD is about to come on WFAN to answer some questions, this should be interesting.

No quotes so take it for what it's worth but it has been reported that the new regime feels that Kazmir doesn't have the mental makeup to be pro pitcher, he's injury prone and he has a bad attitude.

Kazmir responded concerning the Mets: "That's my goal now," he said. "They'll be sorry they did this."

i agree with kazmir here,,,i think the mets will be so sorry they made this trade this coming year and then for the next 10 years as well.....if he can harness the walks this year, i think he will be a good option this year for the rays at SP

I doubt it. That's homerism speaking more than anything. ;-)
