Had a good game today. 4-5 at the plate. He's got 2B elig. Is he better than L. Castillo 2B FLA for the rest of the season? Reason I ask is, I'm tired of Castillo getting benched, plus he's getting moved around the lineup and really not producing that great.
Yeah I like Reyes over Castillo. Castillo was most valuable for his steals but he hasn't been stealing much at all this year. While after a slow start coming back from injury Reyes has been great.

Castillo will put up better numbers across the board except for steals.
I'm sorry to interject here, but no one can take this guy seriously. First Marcus Giles, then he basehes yankee fans, now this.
Just tryng to mak people hate you? Mission accomplished.
Agreed. Don't listen to any fat guys with mullets. As to who is more valuable as long as he is healthy Reyes is much more valuable. Just know that the risk of Reyes reinjuring his hamstring is always present and you can't be too dissapointed.

Right. Very insightful.
The big question is whether or not Reyes will stay healthy for the rest of the season. He is getting his timing back and has started to look great at the plate. Lately the 1-2 punch of Reyes/Matsui has been the only thing keeping the Mets afloat.
Like Mustang mentioned a lot of Castillo's fantasy value was in his projected SBs. In 90 games he has 12. In 30 games Reyes has 9. R, RBI and BA will all be pretty similar for the rest of the season so I'd take Reyes easily over Castillo.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
What, is Luis Castillo your lover or something? First you say hes better than Giles, and then you say hes better then Reyes? When Castillo has been very mediocre and pretty worthless at 2nd this year? No steals means Castillo sucks. Reyes is going to be good, as long as he keeps that Ken Griffey Jr hamstring healthy.
What Jose Reyes lacks in plate discipline, he makes up for in aggresiveness (i.e. Jeter, Vlad). I watch him just about everyday, and he is legit. He has good plate coverage and just knows how to hit, a natural. The Met infield is looking very promising the next few years.
