Is Beltre's contract up after this year?

It just seems like he's pulling a Javy so he can get a big raise. Any news on Beltre's injuries? I know he's been ridiculously hot in the last week 5 Hr's 14 Rbi's and a 462 average. Would this be a good time to sell high?

He is a free agent at the end of this year, and Scott Boras is representing him, so you know what that means.

As far as his injury, it looks pretty bad, but he keeps playing through it and playing well. From the looks of it though, he's one bad slide away from a DL stint for the rest of the season. Barring catastrophe, I don't think he'll sit out though, since he's the only offensive production on the Dodgers right now.

As long as they keep winning and Beltre doesn't do anything stupid with that ankle, he should be a real solid fantasy producer for the rest of the season. As far as his careeer? After watching him struggle for the last 5 years, I don't know if I'm a believer quite yet.

Beltre's gonna get a huge payday this offseason ($10+ million/year) -- especially given his stats playing half his games in the most pitcher friendly park in baseball.

I think Boras represents Rolen -- so that'd throw out Beltre even being the best Boras' 3B client ever. Throw in A-rod as well if you want since he now plays 3rd.

Drew's another Boras client in for a nice payday -- I don't think teams will shy away paying $8+ million/year to either (with Beltre due at least $10+million/year as noted above) despite having to deal with Boras.
