It's for one of three reasons (or possibly a combination):

1. He's hiding an career-ending injury by announcing his retirement instead
2. He realized that he'd rather have a long life than a long career
3. He knows he's set for life with the money he has and just wants to relax for the next 30-40 years

4. He wants to stay at home, and smoke Marijuana(No joke. He's admitted to smokin marijuana, but he can't if he wants to play in the NFL.)
5. He's not having fun playing anymore. He has a social anxiety problem, and has little to no friends on the team.

6. He's off his medication (see item #5) Ricky - take the damn pills and give your head a good shake!!

Seriously though, it's a shame to waste such talent while still in the prime of life.

He is spent.

If he played this year he would have turned into the next Eddie George. With essentially the same team that he had in 2002, Ricky rushed for 3.5 yd/carry - very sucky.

He had the most carries in 2003, he had the most carries in 2002, over the past 3 years nobody comes close to his number of carries.

The man is spent.

Happy trails Ricky - try not to get arrested.

Yes doctor, I am sick.

There's a football cafe?

Get outta here! After you establish RB RB QB... what else is there to discuss?

I thought it was RB,RB,RB,RB,RB,RB, WR maybe if top one is available, if not RB,
then QB.
