I picked up Worrell. I need saves.
I'm a firm believer in the philosophy of a ruling class... especially since I rule.

Not the news Wagner owners were looking for.

From ESPN.com..............

Wagner returns to Philadelphia for examination

July 28, 2004
MIAMI (AP) -- Ailing Phillies closer Billy Wagner traveled back to Philadelphia on Wednesday to have his sore left shoulder examined by team physician Dr. Michael Ciccotti.

Wagner complained of stiffness in the shoulder, which has kept him sidelined for the past week. He's scheduled to see Ciccotti on Thursday.

``He wants to make sure he's not hurting his arm as he continues the healing process,'' manager Larry Bowa said.

Wagner has been throwing on the side, most recently Tuesday. He missed a month earlier this year with a groin injury.

The left-hander is 3-0 with 16 saves, a 3.12 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 34 2-3 innings.

I picked up Worrell looking for a few extra saves and started him tonight. 3 ERs so far in 1 IP. Ouch, at least he got 3 Ks.

Bummer, I was hoping for a good run. Well, this is only one inning, it happens to most pitchers every so often. Hopefully he will get a few saves and not be an ERA killer.

That being said, Worrell ws fantastic last time Wagner was on the DL. He will be gold if that happens again.
