Not anytime soon. I assume he will be appealing the case and that takes a couple of weeks to process.

Don't know, but when I found out about it, I dropped Berkman for Hafner so I'd have a backup firstbasemen. For some reason I'm very relieved to have Berkman off of my team.

He'll probly serve it when the Red Sox are playing some meaningless teams like the Jays or Mariners.

Are you in a 4-team lague? Anyway, Berkman is better than Hafner IMO.

Like the people above said, I don't think Ortiz will serve his suspendion quickly, and won't against the Yanks under any circumstances. The appeal will take a while too, and I feel it should be reduced to 3 games (Milton Bradley got 4)

8 team shallow league and have 1 firstbaseman... Ortiz who is going to miss 5 games. Drop Berkman or V Wells for a backup firstbaseman? Other outfielders are Sheff, J Guillen and C Lee. I chose Berkman. I'm not going without a firstbasemen for 5 days. Whatever you say about Berkman 2 years ago, he has been absolutely horrible the last two months (2 MONTHS) 19 runs, 3 Home runs, 19 RBIs, 220 avg? Compared to Hafner the last month (1 MONTH) 21 runs, 9 Home Runs, 28 RBIs 360 avg?

At this rate, I'll definitely take my chances with Hafner over Berkman the next two months.

I wonder how many championships are going to be lost by people refusing to bench or drop Berkman because of prior success.

Anybody unwilling to recognize a player who has 3 RBIs in an entire month's worth of games as a huge red flag IMHO isn't much of a fantasy baseball player.
