Sounds as if he'll be playing for the rest of the year.
Who do you think has a better 2nd half, Lowell or Morneau
I know Morneau is new, but the guy can flat out hit. and I've heard Lowell is a weaker 2nd half player.
i could trade of Lowell and pick him up

Pedantic is right, Justin has just started playing in the bigs and although Lowell will decline he is still a very good and proven player.

Lowell also plays 3b instead of Morneau at DH. Take Lowell, doug came off the DL so might take some ABs.

Lowell normally tapers off in the second half of the season. "Sell High" on Lowell to help your team in another area and play Morneau. He's batting cleanup for the rest of the year, will qualify at 1B soon, and will put up similar if not better numbers then Lowell. Remember, it's that time of year to get every inch from your team as you push for the title.

I like Morneau and I followed him a lot the last few years. The biggest thing to watch out for his is BA. He'll get his power numbers, he can really lay into something if he gets it; but he could be a liability in the BA department. I think he was hitting in the low-mid .200's when at AAA this last time. Homers every night, mind you, but not so much of an average.
Lowell is a better all-around hitter. Considering there will be some adjustment time for Morneau, I'd definitely stick with Lowell. Although in the end, Morneau may actually have a few more homers, probably not as many RBIs.
