just heard on ESPN1000 here in chicago: he is back on the DL... no other details available right now though, but they just reported that about 2 minutes ago
White Sox placed outfielder Magglio Ordonez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Thursday, with bone marrow edema in his left knee. Ordonez could be out for two months or even the rest of the season with a retention of fluid in the bone marrow of his left knee. He will be on crutches for four-to-eight weeks, with only a swimming exercise regimen. If doctors determine that he's made progress after four weeks, maybe he'll return on Sept. 1. If not, he might be done for the year. As a result, the White Sox may be in the market for another bat even after adding Carl Everett.
