I'd call it a draw, but Peavy has that out of nowhere DL stint on his 2004 resume. Oliver Perez seems to K about 10 batters a start. And he has gone deeper into games than Peavy. Pitching a complete game shutout in Coors helps a bit too.
Doh, I was doing this season! I will leave that up for fun.
They are neck and neck in my mind. You cannot go wrong with either of them. Perez probably has a slightly higher ceiling, while Peavy has a slightly longer track record. A fan of power pitchers, I may go for Oliver by a hair.
