Rest of the season: Manny or Thome?

I have to go with Manny here, but only because of the average.

Of the 2 hitters I prefer Thome, but Manny will likely outproduce Jim, though maybe in batting average only.

I may get alot of heat for this, but I would go with Thome. I dont see the Red Sox in a playoff Hunt so mannys motivation wont be there. Thats all I'm basing my pick on.

they're 1/2 game up in the wild card, how are they not in the playoff hunt....being ahead in the wild card considering how badly they've played shows they can get ahead a lot more

As of today, 7/23, the Red Sox lead the Wid Card race, a 1/2 game over the A's...

i would say Manny as well- Thome gives u the edge on HR, but everything else Manny will beat him in
