I was just listening to local radio (LA) and some sad excuse for a baseball fan called in and said dusty baker deserves manager of the year honors. are you kidding me?! i know the guy's had to deal with some pretty bad injuries, but so does every manager/team. this was supposed to be the year of the cubs, making it back to the WS or whatever. and now, nearly 100 games in they're 10 back of the cards and not doing too hot in the WC race. not to mention they just blew a 7-1 lead yesterday to their nemesis at home. Baker's not even the best manager in his own division.
enough with that, i just wanted to see who real baseball fans, knowledgable folks in this cafe, think deserves manager of the year thus far. Mine would go to Bruce Bochy, bad offense, pretty good pitching, but that team continues to play some great ball somehow.
