Number 21 on Baseball Americas top 100 prospects. It's very funny what it says

"Suprisingly for a New York prospect, the hype hasn't caught up to the talent yet."

Ahhh I think there has been enough hype, so he must going to be awesome then

Only 5 3B's are on their list

Marte - 11
Wright - 21
Dallas - 33
Ian Stewert - 57
Moses - 81

Where's he going to bat? 7th?

What are reasonable expectations this year?

7th seems likely although anywhere from 6-8 is possible.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

In a new edition, Baseball america lists him as 13th, but Dallas McPherson is 5th.... Isn't Wright supposed to be a notch higher than him in defense and hitting?

So is he going to get a lot of playing time with Wigginton still there? What kind of production do you expect?

BA did an update of their top 25 about a week ago. Wright was the #5 prospect in baseball behind Upton, Delmon Young, Casey Kotchman, and Felix Hernandez. McPherson was #13 and Marte was #15. Matt Moses has been sidetracked by an injury. And Ian Stewart should be a top 40 prospect right now.

I'd take Marte over him in the long run......... and I don't think he'll get many SB's. Anything more than 10 per season would surpirse me. He's an awesome hitter, so in deep/NL only leagues I can see him being a good option. If it's a 12 team league I'd leave him alone... unless it's a keeper. There are just too many options at 3B.
