now that Joe Mauer, has hit the dl..I'm sure many of us are left to pick a catcher off ww. now sure exactly how long Mauer will be out (heard about 2 weeks, could be longer), but which is the catcher to take who will put the best numbers from here on out?
Matheny
Barrett
Lieberthal
Hall
Lecroy (qualifies at c, but will he play everyday?)
LaRue
Learning towards Barrett, but any advice would be helpful...thanx!

Lieberthal, but pay attention to Mauer if you want him back. He will be back in a couple weeks. It was a medication reaction as to why he has been taken out again.

Barrett. Hes been one of the only consistent hitters on the Cubs and has better numbers than Lieberthal.

The cubs suck. They have no hitters. The worst thing to do is get a Cubs pitcher.

I'm in the same position... i feel like picking the names out of a hat of the 20 medocre catchers, hell maybe I'll have the women pick the coolest jersey or something, it's a mess on my wavier wire.
I got em ranked right now
Molina
Barrett
Miller
Larue
Schneider
Greene
OUch you better be better Joe Mauer ASAP, imagine the rest of the year with those names in your starting lineup!!!

Grabbed Benjie Molina a few days ago when Mauer looked like he was starting to have problems. Looks like he'll be a great fill in. Had my eyes on both Angels Molinas early in the year; they both looked good, but were taking AB's from each other. Now that Benjie seems to be getting a lot more starts, he's become a viable fantasy option. At least as a filler.
Blessed are the cheesemakers.
