Who gets the closers job in Seattle if Guardado is traded? Julio Mateo, Soriano or Hasewaga? What do you think the percentages are Guardado gets traded?
i dont think he hes goin anywhere, they said alot of people will get traded but they went on record saying they want to keep everyday eddie, i would say 25 % chance he gets traded, but if he does, i would expect Raf Soirano to get the save opp's
I'm watching the M's game right now and the announcers were just talking about the trade deadline. Chances are Guardado gets shipped, which I don't think many people would have a problem with. As for the new closer, good question, Shiggy's been so bad this year it's hard to imagine them putting him there, I suppose Mateo could get the job. Soriano's hurt right now, I'm not sure how long for though. If I had to guess, Melvin will just take the fantasy nightmare way out, the ol' closer by commitee.

I'm thinking Hasegawa. He's not been too good this year, but he was lights-out last year. (maybe he's been figured out) I think they'll give him a chance though....
I heard on BBTN that the Cleveland Indians could be possible buyers for him at the deadline. It would make sense because their bullpen has been horrendous all year.
I also think Shiggy would get the giggy( Not one of my best )
Because he might just be better suited for high leverage situations rather than the 7th and 8th innings as he showed last season.
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

They won't do it, but should Guardado be moved, they should recall Meche and see what he can do. Obviously, Meche was horrid earlier this season, but last year he was blowing people away the first time thru the lineup. Take him out of a starter role where he needs to pace himself and let him throw a high 90's heater for 20-30 pitches. It would be interesting to see how he does.
Hey Thehat do you have some inside information about Meche maybe coming back and closing? I could get him the the guy that has him for just about nothing. I had him last year. he was solid first half just ran out of gas from not pitching in two years. But I agree with you. He would be worth a shot.
