Everett back with the White Sox

Postby Iguana » Sun Jul 18, 2004 5:27 pm

From Rototimes.com:

Carl Everett (OF) CWS
The White Sox acquired Carl Everett from the Expos in exchange for pitchers Jon Rauch and Gary Majewski, according to the AP. Everett has a .252 average, with two homers and 14 RBI in 39 games this season.

I just picked him up in one of my leagues. Do people think he'll play as well as last year with the Sox? He's gonna be hitting in a great lineup.

Eh hes a headcase but he seems to be pretty good on the White Sox. Definitely worth a pickup in AL league, and probably also in a mixed if hes still in the FA pool.

I'd probably pass even in mixed leagues because he's been broken down a couple of times already this year. The move affects Termel Sledge more than it affects Everett.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Could also impact Aaron Rowand, who's been an under the radar star the last several weeks....but apparently his job is safe!

Bah, he's bad news. He might perform for a couple or three weeks and then stab you in the back ... not to mention CWS fans.

Everett & Mondesi are on my Do Not Draft list every year. I don't like multimillionaire crybaby players with bad attitudes.

2 for 5 with a homer in his first game. I told myself i wouldn't pick him up off his first game, but it is tempting. Is he a better option than Mike Cameron?
