Mussina: Bust or Stud in 2nd Half?

Postby GrimZeke007 » Sun Jul 18, 2004 3:51 pm

What is the word on his injury and will be able to play at top performance in the 2nd half? Is he still a top 10 pitcher?

Something is definitely wron with Moose. I can't have any confidence in him until I see several quality starts and by then someone else will have himso, I'm moving on without him. B-)

I don't think he'll be anything special, but I wouldn't waive him, unless he goes on the DL for an extended period of time

Im really annoyed as a Fantasy Owner and a Yankees Fan.

In the beginning of the Season after mussina had struggled and dye was on Fire I traded Dye and Burntiz for Vidro and Mussina. People in my league kept telling me that I ripped him off, well Mussina has been just dissapointing. Vidro I later sent away in a deal to get Schmidt. I think He will improve, but will still be a bust this year.

Yea I am pretty pissed too. Ever since I made a move for him when he was coming out of his early season slump he started to turn sour again. :~(

Yeah, I am pretty glad I dealt him, Brett Myers, Mike Young and Johnny Estrada for Jason Scmidt, Matt Clement and Dave Roberts just last week. I know it looks like I am losing good players in Young and Estrada in this deal, but with Tejada and V. Mart to back them up, the loss is really now a big gain.
