just to clarify... Bonds is by far the best "hitter" in all of baseball... but ARod is just as good as an overall player followed by Pujols.
i dont think people realize that Pujols is a good defensive 1B. then Vlad...
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
Many writers feel Bonds is the NL MVP b/c of his OPS and OBP. Also, everyone in baseball is scared silly of him - no one pitches to him and when they do, BOOM! I heard from ESPN (TV) that he's hit a HR in 39% of his AB's (this was a week before the AS break)
A-Rod is a Gold-Glover at SS and will be at 3B. Vlad, Pujols and Manny also received consideration and are my immediate runner-ups.

I agree. A-Rod is underrated defensively, as is Pujols, but I think Vlad, A-Rod, and Pujols are the top three right now.
Bonds without any hesitation. Not only the best player right now, I'm ready to change my entire way of baseball heirarchy thinking and call him the greatest ever.

I agree with you up until the last point. Once Bonds can out-homer his entire league, then I'll give it consideration. Otherwise, Ruth is still #1 on my list.
