I pray and hope this is minor. From Yahoo!...
July 16 An MRI on Mauer's left knee was negative, but the catcher was absent from the Twins' starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals after reporting soreness and swelling in the surgically repaired knee. He was replaced by Henry Blanco and has been listed as day-to-day.
Advice: Mauer was able to pinch-hit late in Thursday's game. Blanco should see most of the starts behind the plate for the Twins if Mauer is forced to miss any more time. Matthew LeCroy will serve as the emergency backup.
Mauer had been raking the ball the past few weeks...

according to rotoworld it is nothing major, just a bad reaction to his pain meds. give him about 10 days and he will be back.
