Wrong. Vlad carried the angels and kept them in contention with glaus, erstad, garret out with injuries and the starting rotation getting lit up on a nightly basis. he has meant just as much to the angels as pudge has to the tigers.
this is the way i see it:
-if the angels make the playoffs, vlad will be mvp.
-if the angels dont make the playoffs, and the tigers stay at the current pace, pudge will be mvp.
-i dont think manny will win it because ortiz will take away some of his votes and vice versa.
- the same thing can be said of blalock/ soriano
