he's still, klesko, right? i haven't seen a whole bunch of his at-bats, but he might make the adjustment. his whole first half, he was plagued by rib/oblique pain.
he's a FA in most mixed leagues, and seems like an interesting pick-up.
b
yeah, yes...

I think 15 would be a little too much to ask for. He has done worse in the second half each of the past two years, so I wouldn't excpect much from him. Maybe more than two homers, but I would be pretty surpried if got to 15. Especially because he would be playing most of his games at Petco.

Long term, might not be the best option, but if you're just looking for a little help at 1B or OF, I'd play him this week. Padres play at Coors.
I wouldn't like to rely on Klesko though. I've got Nevin out, so I'm just platooning my 1B with whoever has a favorable matchup each week. That's what I'd do anyway.

hes been hitting well but theres quite a few things going against him- Petco, his injury which limits his power.
i think 15's kinda a reach and he may not get back the full power but 10 is kinda closer to what he'll hit tops.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Well, the first time I saw him batting this year I couldnt believe it was him. He is a much, much slimmed down version. Im not sure if he has the power to hit like he used to when he had more muscle. Im not trying to start any steroid debates here, Im just saying he doesnt have the same build he had in previous years.
